Synopsis

Gao Jian, a coach at an ordinary martial arts school in Dengfeng City, Henan Province, was ordered to teach a group of international students who came to China to learn Kung Fu. During the class, Gao Jian had to face various conflicts brought about by the cultural differences between the East and the West, and he had to bridge the long-standing estrangement with his father, the principal of the martial arts school, Gao Fengshan. At the same time, his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, English teacher Bai Jie was also in crisis.

Radar blends quality, momentum and freshness into one “what to watch now” number — so a great older film can sit lower than a rising new release. The Quality signal above is the time-neutral rating, which is why an acclaimed classic keeps a high quality score even when its Radar number is lower. Radar outputs are editorial algorithmic recommendations, not objective facts, and may change as signals update. A Radar score is not the same as a TMDB, IMDb or critic rating.
