Terms of Use
1. Operator and eligibility
RankThatMovie is operated by Alexander Bojarski / Level Higher (“we”). By using the site you confirm you can form a binding agreement. Contact: [email protected].
2. What the service is
RankThatMovie is a free editorial recommendation service that helps you decide what to watch. It is currently offered without accounts or payment, may change or be unavailable at times, and may include experimental features.
3. No purchase or streaming contract
RankThatMovie does not sell cinema tickets or streaming subscriptions and is not a party to any transaction between you and a third-party service. Links are provided for convenience only.
4. Intellectual property
Our code, Radar scoring outputs, written copy, branding and the selection/arrangement of our database are owned by us or licensed to us. Movie titles, posters, trademarks and metadata remain the property of their respective rights-holders. TMDB and JustWatch retain their rights in the data they provide.
5. Permitted use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the site. You may link to it normally. You must not scrape, use automated access, circumvent technical measures, resell the service or misuse it in a way that harms the service or others.
6. Your submissions
If you send us feedback or corrections, you grant us a limited licence to use that content to operate and improve the service. Do not send unlawful content. We do not claim ownership of your ordinary correspondence.
7. Accuracy and methodology
Radar outputs are editorial algorithmic recommendations, not objective facts, and may change as ratings, momentum, availability and confidence update. Streaming availability, release dates and prices must be confirmed with the relevant provider.
8. Advertising and affiliate links
Where the site shows advertising or affiliate links, this is disclosed at the point of use. Commercial placements do not affect Radar scores, rankings or editorial verdicts.
9. Third-party services
We are not responsible for the availability, security, content or transactions of external services we link to, while your non-excludable statutory rights remain unaffected.
10. Suspension
We may block abusive or automated access and may discontinue features at our discretion.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under law, including your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on recommendations or third-party availability data.
12. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your own place of residence where applicable. For complaints, contact [email protected]; we aim to resolve issues promptly.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We will communicate material changes reasonably; continued use will not be the only way we treat significant consumer changes as accepted.
14. General
If any clause is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights without our consent.
